It was towards the end of 1940s that Paolo Martinelli started to cut the first blocks of marble from land he owned at Botticino. This was the start of the first quarry. The business grew quickly, and the Rezzato yard was opened after just 10 years. After the founder's early death, his young son Luigi Martinelli took over the helm in 1963 and with the aid of family members he is still running the yard, thoroughly modernized and enlarged, today. 

During the '70s the company also developed its initiative in the granites sector, processing materials from many foreign countries. However, a large proportions of its activity is still focused on Botticino marble, which is supplied with great success to the domestic and international markets. The unceasing demand for this material is concrete proof of its outstanding quality. Eredi Martinelli guarantees dedication to preparing well ahead for the demands of an ever-developing market.
